The annual festivals

Leviticus 23 describes seven feasts commanded by God to the people of Israel.
The first of these is the weekly holiday of rest or Sabbath.
The other six are festivals that were celebrated once a year.
Given that the first month of the calendar was the sacred month of Nisan (roughly corresponding to our April), annual holidays can be divided into two groups:

PARTY OF THE FIRST Semesta (spring-summer):
  1. EASTER dusk of 14 days of Nisan, according to the commandment of Exodus 12, each family sacrificed a lamb chosen four days before and the blood sprinkled on the doorposts architrave of the door to commemorate when God "passed over (Passover = pass over) the houses of the Israelites in Egypt when he smote the Egyptians and delivered our houses "(Es12: 25).
  2. unleavened bread for seven days Easter was banned from all forms of yeast in the homes
  3. the first fruits of the eighth day after Easter that is the day after the end of Unleavened Bread is dedicated to the Lord the first bundle of ears of barley harvest. If the first beam (first fruits) was not anointed anyone should eat of the harvest.
  4. PENTECOST or HARVEST FESTIVAL OF WEEKS or seven weeks after the feast of first fruits
PARTY OF THE SEVENTH MONTH (FALL)
  1. TRUMPETS the first day of the seventh month
  2. THE Atonement on the tenth day of seventh month
  3. THE HUTS or tabernacles for seven days from 15 of the seventh month Israelites lived in booths to commemorate the deliverance from Egypt when, in the desert, Israel lived in tents, but also to celebrate the Lord for the fruits of the earth receives.
What value have these parties for a Christian? We are supposed to celebrate?
Scripture, in Galatians (eg 3:23 to 4:12), explain what the function of the law. Not only that Paul takes seriously the Galatians that they celebrated Jewish feasts. He said in amazement: "You observe days, months, seasons and years! I fear that I labored in vain for you. " In this passage the apostle inspired by the Holy Spirit says that the law (with its rituals) was not more than a tutor whose task was to lead us to maturity (his word when this was manifested in Jesus Christ). When we are under a guardian, he is pretty much our master and we must do everything he tells us, but when we become adult guardian no longer has any authority over us and we can get right to our inheritance. The law, with its parties, represented by material things (elements of the world) spiritual realities that we could not understand until it was manifested grace.
In Colossians 2:16 we read: "no one judge you with respect to (why not celebrate) ... parties, a new moon and sabbaths "and more forward (v. 23): "those things ... have no value only serve to satisfy the flesh. "
Respect for the sacred calendar of the Old Testament had a great pedagogical value before the coming of Christ, but today in the life of a believer can only lead to the Son of God under the bondage of the law from which it was liberated.
Festivals, New Moons and Sabbaths are the 'shadow of things that must be , but the body (ie, reality) is in Christ (Cl 2:16).
Let's see you follow the "shadow" cast by these "parties" to see, with the help of the scriptures, where "things had to happen":

PARTY OF THE FIRST Semesta (spring-summer):
  1. EASTER or the paschal lamb is Christ (1 Cor 5:7, 1 Pet 1:19)
  2. THE Unleavened the sanctification of those who belong to Christ (1 Cor 5:6-8, Gal 5:7-9)
  3. the first fruits of the resurrected Christ is the firstfruits (1 Cor 15:20-24)
  4. PENTECOST or HARVEST FESTIVAL OF WEEKS or the birth of the church with the coming of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1-4)
PARTY OF THE SEVENTH MONTH (FALL) seem to be a reality that will take place in the last few days but that in any way , already have their "Amen" in Christ.
  1. the trumpets sounded when the people of God are called. A trumpet sounds when you first 4:13-18 is fulfilled in the first part of the resurrection of the just called "kidnapping." In Isaiah 27:13 it sounds on the occasion of Israel's return from the dispersion among the nations. In Joel 2:1-3:11 gather sounds for the people and bring them to repentance.
  2. THE atonement for the repentant remnant of Israel is ready in Christ the atonement of sin (Za 12:10-13:2)
  3. THE HUTS or tabernacle Christ himself put his "tent" in Israel saved and the Feast of Tabernacles celebration will become a perennial all nations will celebrate (Za 14:16).

Now the dwelling of God among men! He will dwell with them, they shall be his people and God himself will be with them and be their God He will wipe every tear from their eyes and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things has passed away. Revelation 21:3-4.
